POIGNANT, HILARIOUS, AND A LITTLE BIT NAUGHTY . . .
Our time together over too soon, Adam walked me to my car, where I presented him with my homemade ‘crack’ poppyseed bread. Still in the process of delivering Christmas and New Year’s gifts, it made me feel great to give him something that came from me—something I baked, so I saved a small loaf for him.
